Simple Sprinkle Biscuits

INGREDIENTS:

  • 300g plain flour (or substitute with Self Raising Flour)
  • 2tsp baking power
  • 110g caster sugar
  • 125g butter, softened
  • 1 large egg 
  • Sprinkles (or other desired toppings)

METHOD: 

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180°C. Line a tray with baking paper
  2. Cream butter and sugar until they lighten up. 
  3. Mix in the egg
  4. In a seperate bowl sift the flour and baking power together, then add to the wet mixture
  5. Mix together until well incorporated, add a little milk (1-2 tsp) if the dough is too crumbly
  6. Roll into small balls, dip into sprinkles then flattern slightly on the baking tray
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden. Cool on the tray for 5 minutes then place onto a cooling rack
