Whole Australian Linseed (Flaxseed) is a dark brown seed naturally rich in linolenic acid (Omega 3), linoleic acid (Omega 6), Omega 9 and fibre. The high content of Omega 3s, which is typically lacking in the western diet, makes linseed a particularly valuable source of nutrition. Linseed is best crushed fresh to prevent fatty acid oxidation (rancidity) and sprinkled onto yoghurt, granola or porridge daily.
