Buckwheat Kernels Buckwheat kernels can be cooked like porridge or added to muesli.
They can be used in soups and casseroles. Buckwheat kernels can be cooked like rice and eaten with meat and vegetables or added to salads and stir fries.
Buckwheat is a very nutritious gluten free grain.
The protein content of buckwheat is around 13%, similar to good hard wheat. However the quality of protein is far superior to that of wheat, other grains or many protein sources. Buckwheat has an excellent Glycemic Index (GI) for a gluten free grain. The lower the GI the better for blood sugar, diabeties, and general health.

Additional Information
Adding additional flours can be optional too if you choose to expand on your Sourdough Baking Skills. Why not add some Rye or even Spelt to really boost your baking!

We now offer pickup from our Carrum Downs Store and warehouse. For urgent orders or to ensure stock availability, please call us. We will contact you when your order is ready for pickup and schedule a convenient pickup time for you.
