700gm Bread Tin with Lid
Description
It is vital that you weigh the individual pieces of dough when making a sandwich loaf with a lid, failure to do this, will cause the bread to either ooze out of the tin and have sharp edges or in the case of too little dough, not reach the lid at all. So please do weigh each piece of dough.
- Make up any batch of dough.
- Oil the tin and the inside of the lid lightly with Simply No Knead Cold Pressed Oil.
- Cut off two pieces of dough and check that each piece weighs 450 grams.
- Shape each piece of dough until smooth and place into the tin, smooth side uppermost, slide the lid ¾ of the way on. (See Diagram)
- Allow bread to rise until almost touching the lid, then close the lid and place the bread in a pre-heated oven and cook for 25-30 minutes.
- If you find your bread is browning too much then reduce the temperature by 10oC, if the bread is not brown enough then increase the temperature by 10oC
- To keep your tin in good condition, it is essential to wipe it out thoroughly with a paper towel after each use.
NOTE:When using your lid for the first time, you may need to flex the tin lid when you slide it on to ensure it fits the lip of the tin firmly, you might also find the top of the bread pale in colour. To overcome this, simply turn the tin (with the lid on) over for 5 minutes before the cooking time is up. This should allow the top to brown nicely, in time the bread will naturally brown on top without having to turn the tin over. Any dough you have left over can be made into rolls or mini tin loaves.

Thank you for sourcing and supplying me with a range of high quality flours over years. I believe my first over with SNK was in January 2016. How time flies. I wanted to send you a few photos of my recent bakes all made with your flours. Also, the bread knife you stock slices crusty sourdough, soft loaves and cakes so well. I must admit, I also use it to slice tomatoes.
