This flour is very low in gluten and best made by hand. 100% Rye Flour would need to be combined with other bread flours or mixes to produce bread made in your bread machine. If you want a rye bread made in your bread machine may we suggest trying our Light Rye Bread Mix or Dark Rye Bread Mix. These mixes work fine by hand or machine.

This is Lisa. I just spoke to you…So my ISO sourdough baking story.
I started in March (2020) like many other people during Covid. In defense of myself I am a big foodie and I always wanted to learn to bake as my late father used to make great bread. 😊
I managed to do some good bakes but then my starter got sluggish and unhappy. I was unhappy! I wasn’t using your flour.
This week I bought some of your 100% rye flour and look at my starter on its second feed! Gloriously happy and ready for a bake. Had two bakes this week and they have both been amazing.
So, a thank you to you guys during these crazy times…. thought a little cheer may be needed.
